Me

I’m a jack of many trades who happened to find a career in software development.

Much of my work is creating small to medium sized web applications for clients. I typically use Ruby on Rails and JavaScript, and sometimes use PHP (mostly in WordPress).  I’ve used many front-end libraries and frameworks, recently with a bigger focus on React. I have experience working closely with UI and UX designers to implement usable responsive designs.

I am familiar with managing Linux servers, dev-ops, and databases. I like to experiment with other languages and have small projects in Elixir, Python, and Swift.

Away from the job I have more interests and hobbies than time. I run almost every morning. I’m a vegetarian for a lot of reasons. Any evening or weekend you could find me spending time with my wife and daughters, cooking or baking, fixing cars, fixing something else around the house, or just catching up on what seems like an infinite amount of TV shows.  I love history, music, the outdoors, business, technology — though sometimes I hate technology.

I’m laid back, honest, and thoughtful. If you think you’d like to work with me, feel free to get in touch.
